There's no cost during the early access period. We're working directly with a small group of troops to shape the product. Pricing will be announced before the public launch, and early access troops will receive preferred rates.
What products does Kernel Command support?
Kernel Command is designed to be product-flexible. Whether your troop sells popcorn, nuts, cookies, or a mix of different items, the inventory system works the same way. You set up your own product catalog during onboarding.
How does member access work? Are youth members creating accounts?
Member access is set up by adult committee members or parents. A parent can manage their child's inventory and requests on their behalf, or older youth members can be given their own login with limited permissions. Accounts are always initiated by adults.
How long does setup take?
Most committees can get up and running in about 20 to 30 minutes — adding products, setting starting inventory, and inviting members. During early access, we'll walk through setup with you directly so nothing falls through the cracks.
We use spreadsheets now. Is this a big change?
It's a different workflow, but most committees tell us it's simpler once they're in it — because sellers and parents are entering their own data rather than the committee chasing everyone down. We also support importing your existing data to get started.
What happens to our data if we stop using Kernel Command?
You can export your troop's full data — inventory history, financial records, and member activity — at any time. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 90 days. You're never locked in.
